He/Him 63, born in 1961

I've been married for 10 years, partnered for 33. After wearing two hats for most of my adult life (straight job/artist job) I was lucky enough to retire at the age of 63. I'm now getting used to the idea of not saying "I'm retired," but "I am a full-time artist." I’ve spent the last 36 years here in Chicago writing and performing from open mics and poetry slams, to co-founding a solo performance ensemble: BoyGirlBoyGirl, being an ensemble member of The Neo-Futurists, in addition to writing and performing award winning full length solo performances that have taken me to festivals in Ireland, Croatia, and Australia. Still writing, I've now dipped into my toes back into drawing and painting.

If I'm not reading, writing, drawing, painting, gardening, or cooking - you might find me playing a board game, planning a trip, watching a movie, or figuring out how much I can DIY before calling in the pros. Sometimes I sleep. I look forward to learning, sharing, listening, and connecting with the other members of the project. I feel like I've been waiting a long time for this moment and am excited to see where it takes all of us.
