She/her, and androgynous 72, born 1952I am a lifelong social justice activist, organizer, Black feminist theorist and writer, beginning at age 15 years old. I am a native Chicagoan, with family roots in Mississippi. I am bisexual, and have been a sojourner in several iterations of what I currently call the LBGTQ+ communities.
I am a co-founder of the Combahee River Collective, a radical Black feminist organization, and a co-writer of the Combahee River Collective Statement.
I was drawn to this project because I want to continue to develop my coalition building activist work around intergenerational relationship building as an important aspect of social justice organizing.
I am a lawyer-educator. I am a passionate, experienced organic, permaculture-biodynamic community gardener. I LOVE dogs and cats, and as an avid environmentalist, nature in the broadest possible sense.
I am an unallied Buddhist.
