Georgia L. mother of 3 adults and grandmother of 5. The grandchildren range from age 25 to 2 years old. Life long resident in the Chicagoland area. Employee with the state of Illinois for 31 years in the area of Social Services. Active in the community since the late 1970's. A member of affirming Churches since the 1970's and continue with these groups. Lived and worked through the AIDS crisis and Women’s issues of the times. My brother lost his life during the AIDS pandemic. Volunteered with Emma Goldman Health Centers and other Women’s Collectives. Looking forward to new learning from all persons in this group.
