Glenn B. Rust

Glenn B. Rust is a playwright/producer from Eugene, Oregon. He has lived in Chicago for five years working with various theatre organizations including Remy Bumppo, Timeline, and Chicago Dramatists. Glenn is currently studying to receive his Masters of Arts in Arts Administration and Policy at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with the intention of furthering his career as a theatre administrator with a focus in new play development.

As a queer theatre maker I have had the opportunity to work with a number of LGBTQIA+ artists and have produced work from both young and older members of our community. The differences in the stories being told during those readings has often been something that has caught my eye, and I think there is a real need for folks of my age to understand the context that older generations lived in and went through to know how we got to where we are today and also find ways to communicate the new issues and needs of our generation.
