Harold retired in 2015. He is a former Registered Nutritionist/Dietitian; previously involved in a non-profit organization. Lived in Chicago since 1993.
Tom retired in 2010. He was involved in an electronics distribution company for the majority of his career and has lived in Chicago since 1991.
Harold and Tom met in 1992 in Chicago and purchased their first home in 1993 They’ve been together for 32 years; married for 11 years. They share their home with our dog, Rocky and are volunteers at the Center on Addison senior program where we serve lunch two days a week. Tom has been with the program for 12 years and Harold for 8 years.
Harold grew up in La Crosse, WI as an only child. He attended Catholic grade school, high school and college in La Crosse. He earned a degree from Viterbo University in Community Medical Dietetics in 1977. He had two close friends growing up and we all came out gay after college.
Tom grew up in Richfield, NJ with his sister and tightly knit Italian family. He earned a business degree in 1966 from University of Iowa. He has lived in Florida and Ohio before moving to Chicago in 1991.
They enjoy living in Chicago and being part of the volunteer group at Center on Addison. We usually travel to Puerta Vallarta every year to avoid the cold winters in the Midwest. They enjoy traveling around the US, along with taking in the sites of Chicago.
They were invited to prepare meals for the project participants and enjoyed the opportunity to serve our community.
