They/She/He Age 34I am a queer/genderqueer artist-educator with a multidisciplinary background in visual arts and experimental performance. I love to paint, read, ride my bike, go on hikes, and go to the movies. I care a lot about how LGBTQ+ people, families, and communities (in all their different forms!) are able to come together and share our stories, and I feel lucky to be a part of this project :)
I decided to join this project because I have never had an opportunity like this before, and it seems so vital and exciting. Younger and older LGBTQ+ people have a lot to learn from each other, but there aren't a lot of spaces working to build, support, and care for intergenerational relationships. I also see investment in my own queer identity development as essential to my growth as an artist and educator, and the fact that a project like this would count as credit toward my graduate degree is part of the reason I chose to become a student at SAIC.
