Yoav Wachs
He/Him/His Age 26I was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel. I have been studying and learning film and editing ever since the 5th grade and graduated from Thelma Yalin performing arts high school from the film department. Nowadays, I mainly work in sculpture and installation but still incorporate film methodology and technique into my work. Between the years 2017 - 2020, I volunteered as head of the film and digital campaign department of the LGBTQ task force in Israel. Creating digital campaigns for pride and raising money for Palestinian LGBTQ refugees to seek asylum around the world. This is what I want to do with my art. I want to use my art to re-teach and pass on queer history and education to future generations. also any opportunity to learn and hear from the trailblazers who changed the world and now allow me to live my life the way I do today.
