Storytelling On Queer Joy

For the culmination of the 2020 semester, students in the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Intergenerational Dialogues class–along with other members of the Dialogues group–worked through the highs, lows, and muddiness of “queer joy” through spoken word. In this collection of audio, Matt Brown, Ayana Cooper, Diana Solis, Allie n Steve Mullen, Terry Maddry, and Lindsey Scott offer stories and insights on their experiences at the intersection of queerness and joy, set to field recordings and ambient soundscapes.
