A collaboratively-written and performed poem
Our group started conversation with a want to focus on poetry and storytelling to relate the major differences and similarities between our experiences. The biggest thing that stood out to us in all of our experiences was that regardless of our ages and upbringings, none of us felt our identities were set in stone. As a result, the idea of queerness being an unending transition came about. After discussions and writing exercises, we each developed short pieces on our own and put them together to demonstrate how all of us experience a constant state of flux with regards to our identities, but how there can be beauty in that flux. Special thanks to Darrell who was a part of all of the initial conversations that led us to this piece but had to take a break from the project before he was able to add his own words to it.
