In Jewish culture, history is passed down around a dinner table. In this space, customs borrowed from Judaism are applied to queer history. In an attempt to emulate the success and commitment of self-preservation that has kept Jewish traditions alive. Notions from Passover – where elders ask the younger generation questions – and “Sukkot” – where diners are surrounded by artistic representations of our ancestors and leaders – are at the core of this piece. This space is meant for queer people to sit, remember and celebrate their history.
